Beat the Heat

As summer temperatures reach almost 100 degrees, it is important to remember that Calhoun County is home to hundreds of homeless individuals and families. There are even more low-income households that simply do not have the resources to stay cool and hydrated. That is why the SHARE Center needs your help.

The SHARE Center provides food, shelter and other resources to vulnerable people in Calhoun County 365 days a year. During times of extreme weather, the we extend the hours of our air-conditioned cafeteria to serve as an emergency cooling center for homeless and low-income families in need of refuge and basic needs items. Healthy and delicious served meals and food packs, gallon and 12 oz. sized bottles of water, games, and other resources are available.

Your secure, tax-deductible donation helps us provide additional resources and offset the extra operational costs so homeless and low-income families have a  place to stay safe and beat the heat.
